CFMEU calls for full investigation into John Holland
The CFMEU has called for a full investigation into John Holland's suitability to hold a Comcare Licence and an investigation into safety on every one of their sites. CFMEU National Construction Secretary Dave Noonan said the revelations in The Australian today (sic), regarding the deplorable safety standards on th Brisbane Airport Link site that commenced in 2008 and saw the tragic death of a worker, require a thorough investigation by all the regulatory authorities. click here to read the full story.

Federal Government finds $300 million for super rich while hurting 3.6 million workers
The CFMEU today expressed astonishment at news overnight that the Federal Government intended to lower superannuation taxes on 16,000 of the very wealthiest Australians whilst simultaneously planning to abolish a modest concession of $500 per year for millions of ordinary workers.
